The ability to clearly communicate our ideas is something we strive for every day in almost everything we do.
When it comes to communicating ideas, or describing an object that exists or doesn't exist, it can prove extremely difficult for both the presenter and the receiver of the information. However, the achievement of understanding in this process can be enhanced by providing opportunities for interaction and by facilitating the development of concepts through visualization.
Interaction puts the receiver of the information into the driving seat and allows them to learn by engaging in the learning process in a manner that specifically targets their learning deficiencies and yet is still entirely consistent with their personal learning style.
3D Visualization is a core strength of MMCLD. We take pride in being able to bring to life for our clients their ideas — whether those ideas have their genesis in an abstract concept or detailed schematics. Whatever the start point, we have the ability to engineer and deliver high-fidelity, photographic or animated 3-dimensional media that clearly communicates our client's information.
However, MMCLD can go one step further and build real time 3D interactive user interfaces and content embodying the latest gaming logic. We apply this to address specific learning requirements to facilitate the acquisition of knowledge and skills by individual learners, or for collective tasks, by teams of learners. MMCLD achieves this by transforming the idea or object into a 3-dimensional model that is faithful to the original specification. From there, a treatment is applied to provide texturing, lighting, rigging, carefully choreographed animation, compositing and rendering to bring the model to life to provide the most powerful expression of visualization.
MMCLD was commissioned by the Australian Army to design and develop training and assessment gamification for elements of the training conducted to prepare soldiers for promotion to Corporal. To address one requirement, MMCLD was tasked to design and develop an immersive assessment piece that would perform multiple skill and knowledge checks within the one environment. The screen shots below illustrate a field where a team of soldiers have been deployed and are required, under the direction of a Corporal, to build an obstacle in the form of a wire fence. This activity requires the learner, as the Corporal, to satisfy the requirement to build the obstacle by concurrently tasking their men, allocating the necessary tools and applying the procedure in a timely manner, and in the correct sequence, to efficiently achieve the set objective
